Privacy Policy
Pray with Gabe ("the app", "we", "us") is operated by Ripple Tech Inc. This policy explains what information the app handles and why. We built Pray with Gabe to be private by design: there is no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking, and we never sell your information.
Information you provide
- Your name and a note about what's on your heart. Both are optional, entered during setup, used only to personalize your call and prayer. Stored on your device.
- An optional email and phone number. All fields during setup are optional and the app works fully without them. If you choose to share them, we use them only to send important service updates and reach you about Pray with Gabe. They are stored securely in our backend (Supabase) and are never sold or used for advertising.
Information from a prayer call, and sharing with OpenAI
Prayer calls are powered by OpenAI, a third-party AI service. The app asks for your explicit permission inside the app before your first call; no call data is sent until you agree and start a call. When a call begins, the app sends the following to OpenAI:
- Your name (if you provided one) and your prayer request ("what's on your heart"), so the companion can greet you and pray for what matters to you. These are collected from the optional setup form or the You tab.
- Your voice, captured from the microphone and streamed in real time during the call, so the companion can hear and respond to you.
- After the call, the conversation transcript is sent to OpenAI to generate a summary, a prayer, and a scripture, which are saved as a private journal entry with the date and call length.
This data is used only to run your call and create your journal entry — for no other purpose. OpenAI processes it as our service provider under its API data-usage terms: it does not use this data to train its models and provides data protections consistent with this policy.
Where your data lives
Your profile and journal are stored on your device. Where cloud storage is used, entries are kept in a secure database protected by row-level security, accessible only to you. We do not make your prayers or transcripts public.
How we use it
Only to provide the experience: to personalize the call, lead a relevant prayer, and create and show your journal. We do not use your content for advertising or profiling.
Service providers
- OpenAI: real-time voice conversation and generating the summary, prayer, and scripture. Receives your name, prayer request, live call audio, and conversation transcript — only during and right after a call, and only with your in-app permission. Does not use your data for model training and provides the same or equal protection as this policy.
- Supabase: secure backend and database hosting. Issues the temporary call credential and, if you chose to share them, stores your email or phone number.
We share data with no other third parties, and we require our providers to protect your information to the same standard described in this policy.
Retention & deletion
You can delete individual journal entries in the app at any time. To request deletion of all your data, contact us at support@praywithgabe.app.
Children
Pray with Gabe is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Not medical or crisis care
Pray with Gabe is a space for prayer and reflection. It is not therapy, medical advice, or a crisis service. If you are in crisis or may be in danger, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line right away.
